Common questions
How do I sync between my devices?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on each device and make sure iCloud is on for DotLog. Then turn on iCloud Sync in DotLog’s settings. On iPhone and iPad you can pull down on Today, Month or Future to sync straight away.
What happens to tasks I don’t finish?
Open tasks from earlier days can move to today automatically, every day or only on workdays, or DotLog can ask you to review them each morning. Change it in Settings, under Tasks.
What is the difference between migrate and schedule?
Both move a task to another day and keep the original as a record. Migrate makes the copy straight away, so it is waiting for you. Schedule waits until you open that date, so days you have not reached yet stay uncluttered.
What are the keyboard shortcuts on Mac?
⌃⌥⌘D shows and hides DotLog from anywhere, and ⌃⌥⌘L opens quick capture. Inside the panel, Space completes a task, ⌘M migrates it, ⌘S schedules it, ⌘I opens it in its own window and ⌘F searches. You can change the global shortcuts in Settings.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose DotLog. On Mac, right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets. Tap a task in the widget to check it off.
How do I see the tour again?
Open Settings in DotLog and choose Take the Tour. The Guide, in the same place, explains every symbol and gesture.
